16-19 Tuition Fund
The 16 to 19 tuition fund is funding, ring-fenced for schools, colleges and all other 16 to 19 institutions who receive annual funding allocations from ESFA for the provision of 16 to 19 education, to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID-19).
The 16 to 19 tuition fund was first provided for the 2020 and 2021 academic year and is being extended beyond 2021 to 2022 for a further two years into the 2023 and 2024 academic year, and we have opted into this funding to offer additional support to students aged between 16 and 19. We recognise that children have been impacted by the school closure in different ways, and therefore, as a school, we want to use this additional funding to support students in the best way possible.
Rossett School is eligible to receive £3,859 from this fund for 2021/22 for small group tuition. Rossett School will use this funding to support learners who did not achieve Grades 4 or above in GCSE English or Mathematics. Tuition will take place in groups of no more than five students and will be prioritised for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) or are classified as disadvantaged students.
